What’s on in Rome this weekend, 9–11 October 2026: on Friday Pontormo opens at the Scuderie del Quirinale and Richard Avedon at Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Saturday and Sunday bring the FAI Autumn Days, and Sunday is the last day for the Vermeer at Palazzo Barberini and for Metamorfosi at Galleria Borghese.   • Palazzo Barberini and Galleria Borghese are full on their closing weekend: the Borghese is by reservation only.
  • For the FAI Days with a group, pick a single place and allow for the queue.
  • Alice nella Città from Tuesday 13 and the Rome Film Fest from Wednesday 14 change the traffic around the Auditorium: allow for it in transfers.
